Fantastic boutique hotel just outside the centre of Newcastle. We were lucky to choose the Hotel du Vin as our wedding venue and we were not disappointed. It is a small, intimate hotel with wonderful helpful staff who can't do enough to help you. Nothing is too much trouble for them. A special mention to Sean who ran the bistro, wow, what a wonderful member of the team. He made our day magical as he truly cared about us and our guests. The waiting staff were brilliant, polite and friendly. Annie who is the function manager was brilliant, she was so accommodating and did her utmost to make our day memorable. I cannot praise the Hotel du Vin highly enough.
We had a lovely overnight stay here, room was lovely we stayed in a junior suite, very clean comfy bed and great selection of snacks to buy in our room. Loved that we could watch telly whilst relaxing in the gorgeous roll top bath! Our stay included dinner, bed and breakfast, the food was outstanding and although we had some timing issues with our dinner, Andy the GM sorted this out, he was amazing and turned our only complaint around instantly, he also came and said goodnight before he finished his shift which really made us feel special, Thanks Andy! I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will return.
Fantastic stay. Booked a junior suite for a night away without the children. We arrived to a free upgrade which was fantastic. It was a lovely stay and the room was gorgeous. Twin tubs on a mezzanine level. Huge bed, sofa in a lounge area and a big TV. Views included sun set through the bridges.
Wonderful stay at the Hotel Du Vin. It was only one night, but quality of sleep was great - would prefer more selections of pillows if possible. Lovely room, we stayed in the junior suite and the bath / shower combo was perfect. Air-con worked wonders also. Views of the Tyne river made it extra special. Thanks for a great stay.
We had a wonderful night in Newcastle which was made into an even better experience by staying at Hotel Du Vin. We stayed in the Cristal Suite for the night and didn’t want to leave! Everyone at the hotel was welcoming and friendly, especially the lady on the front desk who checked us in and couldn’t have helped us more. Unfortunately we can’t remember her name but it was the lady with blonde hair :) Our suite was amazing, clean and everything we could have needed was there. I know this isn’t a popular thing that many people use but the smoking area outside with leather armchairs, a fireplace and blankets was a great added touch that shows they cater for everyone. We didn’t have time to try the bistro but the food looked amazing with a variety of choices. If we are ever in Newcastle again, we won’t stay anywhere else!
