Myself & husband and some of our friends were at a charity fundraising event in Newcastle, we stayed at Clinton hotel, and we absolutely loved it! We had the most warmest of welcoming Rooms were great had a on suite bathroom, clean and tidy with a lovely comfortable bed. The hotel its self had some lovely features. And the view across the road is amazing. They is also a pool table and bar what made my stay the best was the guys that worked there, GLEN, CALLUM AND ANDY Absolutely fantastic lads, welcoming, funny, polite and really do go above and beyond for there guests! Thank you for a fantastic evening. We will definitely be back!
It was very loud due to other guests my friends who were in other hotel rooms or in the bar were noisy inconsiderate of other guests staff let people drink and make loads of noise until the early hours of the morning also there was a smell of something outside cold tap didn't work there no kettle or drinks in the room you had to pay for any drinks. You also have to pay for parking in the hotel carpark. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Newcastle do not stay here there is so many issues and it doesn't deserve to be rated 3 star by the AA it's a 2 star at best and I have stayed in some awful and some fantastic hotels and understand ratings of hotels this is not a good place to stay and are far from worthy of 3 stars
Don't be bother to come here. Very unpolite staff, very rude, so loud without any respect from people. Some man of the staff in the morning, shout outside the door, he was literally keep down the door, because he was yelling about the check out time, and wasn't the truth, as on booking says 11. Save yourself, find another place even if is not cheap like that.
Welcoming and professional staff night and day always a lovely welcome. Nice downstairs bar with snacks as well and vending machines. Lovely warm comfy clean beds with plenty room to move about. En suite was spot on. Only downsides was furniture was mismatched (but still functioning and a nice room with stylish flooring). Also lack of ketlle ( no reason not bring a travel one or asking the staff and they'll put the kettle (free coffee and tea) so you don't have to wait for the boiler, also mug instead of cup and saucers available on request.
