Excellent customer service I would definitely recommend staying here. The staff were amazing especially Amy who couldn't do enough for us. I was recuperating from an operation and in-between homes and they were so accommodating. The housekeeping were friendly and courteous in particular Anne. I would rate the stay 6 stars if I could! The bedrooms were modern tasteful and the wet room bathroom was a dream. Many thanks to all for a wonderful stay.
Great place to stay whilst working in the area. All the staff really friendly, room quiet, comfy and well thought out, nice pub attached with good food and beer. Late check-out available which was useful for my working hours. Only niggle was that breakfast finished a wee bit early at 9.30, but the bar serves food from 12 so it’s not a biggie. Will definitely stay when I’m next in town ????????
I regularly go up to Newcastle for medical treatment with my wife. I also work from the hotel. I arrived at 10am which admittedly is earlier than the advertised 2pm check in time. But I needed to get to a meeting. I was told it absolutely wasn't possible to get to a room before 12 o'clock and it would cost me £10 per hour to get there at 12 o'clock and if I went up any earlier I would be charged for another night. I went and got breakfast while I waited in their restaurant (service great here by the way) where they had told me that the hotel was quiet. I went back to reception and told them I needed to get to the room for a meeting. They charged me £30 to go up. With any other hotel, they will check availability and just let you go up without an issue if they have a room which is free and cleaned. To get charged for this is bad service. I appreciate this is greedy people at the top making these decisions. But the man on reception also did little to help. After that moan, the room was good. So was the WiFi and the breakfast.
Ill be coming back, Northern hospitality at its best. Staff in all departs are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, Large varied breakfast choice, large private parking and a nice pub next door. Below average prices for a hotels équivalant to this. Thanks for enjoyable stay.
