Very cute pub in front of Gosforth High street. Nice outdoor vibes, plants and flower decor, and a cute indoor. Wish it had more local/unique beer options and food options though
I was really looking forward to a festive and delicious Christmas dinner at this restaurant, but unfortunately it was just mediocre. The turkey roast was overcooked and dry, the vegetables were too rubbery (I believe it was re heated from the lunch) and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was overly sweet and not very enjoyable. One saving grace was the good service , and he really catered to our needs. Overall, I was disappointed with the Christmas dinner at this restaurant and wouldn't recommend it to others. There are plenty of other options out there that offer a much better holiday dining experience.
This is a bar I have visited as my local for many years, today I had to leave a review as it’s so deserved. Following it’s beautiful refurbishment I thought I would try the food offering and was not disappointed. I started with the Korean-style chicken, it was tender and moist just cooked right, with a garnish of spring onions and slaw in the most delicious soy sauce dressing. My main I opted for the French dip steak sandwich which was highly recommended by the bar staff and did not disappoint , I asked for medium rare and it arrived as exactly that cooked perfect served on toasted bread with fresh rocket and horseradish crème sauce with a side of French fries . For me the ultimate pairing with this dish was the famous beef dripping sauce!!! No words to describe how amazing this is. Overall it was a perfect lunch in a perfect setting in the new freshly vamped up brandling. Grace and Faith were the perfect hosts making sure everything was as it should be, along with friendly chat and banter . This won’t be my last time here thank you team brandling for all your efforts
Spectacular Sunday roasts! Generous servings, absolutely delicious, beautifully presented. Went with my family, we had pork, beef and chicken roasts, all fab. Humongous Yorkshires! All staff were friendly and attentive, and shout-out to Chef Daz, stellar job mate! Wish I'd got a photo of my pork with that crackling on top, my partner got this shot of his half a chicken though!
Took my parents for the festive meal yesterday. All of the food was lovely and our server, Elouise was very friendly and professional. When we couldn't decide on an after dinner cocktail she suggested the festive spritz which was a great choice. It was all very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it.
